Some swimmers, although affiliated with a team may compete as unattached. For example, some high school swimmers also train with USA Swimming clubs. They may compete in USA Swimming meets unattached to keep their membership on the high school team. However, when a meet entry person imports many unattached entries into Meet Manager, they are joined into one unattached group. This can make it difficult for the meet host and officials to track fees and swimmers before and during the meet. Creating an Associated Unattached team in Meet Manager, for each group of team-affiliated, unattached entries, can help solve this problem.
